Job Description

Full-Time Patient & Family Concierge (UPMC Presbyterian/EMU) Interested in starting a career in healthcare and love helping others? Join us at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital as a Full-Time Patient & Family Concierge (PFC) on our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, 7F . This role offers a meaningful way to make a difference for patients and families by enhancing their hospital experience from arrival to discharge. As a PFC, you'll support patients, families, and clinical staff by performing a mix of bedside, stocking, and administrative tasks. You'll assist with everything from guiding visitors and delivering meals to transporting patients and managing supplies—ensuring smooth, compassionate care every step of the way. This full-time role consists of three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total) and requires rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays. Starting pay is $19.00/hour, with the final title and rate determined by experience and education. Key Responsibilities Greet and escort patients and visitors. Assist with patient transport, meal delivery, and supply replenishment. Maintain clean, organized spaces and report maintenance needs. Answer phones, respond to call lights, and provide non-clinical assistance.
Note:
This role does NOT involve clinical tasks such as bathing, mobility assistance, or administering medical care. High school diploma, or active enrollment in a high school/GED program, or one year of previous work experience in lieu of a diploma/GED Must demonstrate compassion, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to provide an exceptional experience for patients and families at all times Previous experience in healthcare or customer service is preferred, but not required Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
