Job Description

Join our team as a Part-Time Patient & Family Concierge! UPMC Children's Hospital is currently seeking a Part-Time Patient & Family Concierge (PFC) for our 7C Pediatrics Unit. Rotating, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts will be required. The final candidate will be placed in the appropriate title and pay rate based on experience and education. The starting rate of pay for a PFC is $19.00/hr. The PFC is responsible for providing generalized, compassionate service and support to patients, families, and visitors during their stay within the hospital. The Emergency Department PFC will be primarily focused on administrative tasks, including answering the phone, answering questions, stocking patient rooms and supply areas, and serving as the primary point of contact at the front desk.
Primary Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors, ensuring they reach their destinations while maintaining confidentiality. Serve as a resource for hospital policies, visiting hours, directions, and more. Handle patient belongings tracking, parking validations, scooters, and meal tray delivery. Clean and organize patient rooms, public areas, and other spaces; replenish supplies and report maintenance needs. Manage and organize supplies, deliver materials to units, and monitor inventory and expiration dates. Answer phones, respond to patient call lights. High School diploma or equivalent or one year of previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED.
