Job Description

We're hiring a Patient & Family Concierge (PFC) to join our Emergency Department team! In this fast‑paced, high‑impact role, you'll support patient throughput and day‑to‑day unit operations while serving as a key point of connection for patients and families during critical moments. This position offers variable scheduling, with a strong need for evening and night shifts in 8‑ or 12‑hour rotations. Start times include 7 a.m., 3 p.m., or 7 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. There is no on‑call, floating, or travel required. Responsibilities:
Welcome and escort patients and visitors to correct locations. Provide hospital info and issue parking passes and scooters. Track patient belongings at admission. Clean and organize patient rooms and public areas. Restock supplies and change linens. Report maintenance issues. Prepare and serve meals per dietary orders. Deliver trays and confirm patient identity. Safely transport patients, equipment, and specimens. Disinfect and inspect transport equipment. Set up, sanitize, and test telehealth carts. Order and stock unit supplies and equipment. Monitor inventory, expiration dates, and temperature logs. Answer phones, respond to call lights, and assist patients. Follow safety protocols and report incidents. •Performs in accordance with all other system-wide competencies/behaviors.•Performs other duties as assigned. Must have the desire, drive, and compassion needed to provide an exceptional patient and family experience at all times. High School diploma OR active High School/GED program enrollment OR one year of previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED.Previous experience in health care or customer service is a plus, but not required.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
