Job Description

The Head Ritual is a luxury head spa and scalp wellness studio in Walnut Creek focused on creating deeply restorative, elevated experiences for our guests. We are currently looking for a Spa Support Coordinator / Junior Head Spa Technician to join our growing team. This is a hybrid role ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, wellness, beauty, operations, and guest experience. The position will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day flow of the studio while also receiving training to assist with head spa services and take select bookings as needed. We are looking for someone who is warm, dependable, detail-oriented, organized, calm under pressure, and excited to grow with a modern luxury wellness brand. A cosmetology license is preferred, but extensive experience is not required for the right person with a strong attitude and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
Greet and check in guests with a warm, elevated hospitality approach Answer phones, texts, and guest inquiries regarding services, memberships, booking policies, and scheduling Assist with booking coordination and client communication Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the studio at all times Laundry, towel/robe restocking, treatment room resets, dishwashing, and general studio upkeep Clean, sanitize, and disinfect tools, bowls, brushes, combs, and equipment according to studio protocols Assist with maintaining sanitation standards throughout treatment areas and common spaces Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking retail, backbar, beverages, disposables, and supplies Support service providers between appointments and help maintain smooth daily operations Train in The Head Ritual service protocols and assist with services as needed Take select appointments or last-minute bookings once trained Capture occasional behind-the-scenes content, Instagram stories, and day-to-day studio moments during downtime
Ideal Candidate:
Cosmetology license preferred Strong customer service and hospitality mindset Highly organized and proactive Comfortable multitasking and staying productive during slower periods Comfortable answering phones and speaking confidently with guests Has an eye for cleanliness, presentation, and detail Calm, polished, and team-oriented Open weekend availability (MUST) Interest in beauty, wellness, scalp care, and luxury guest experience This role is perfect for someone looking to grow within the beauty/wellness industry while being part of a modern luxury concept focused on relaxation, scalp health, and elevated guest care.
Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
