About Us International Residence Hall is the nation's most experienced operator of employee housing for BridgeUSA J-1 Work Travel students. Serving participants from over 30 countries, IRH provides a comfortable, safe, and welcoming home-away-from-home. Our facilities support a positive and fun environment that fosters cultural exchange, friendships, and meaningful memories. Wea re seeking seasonal Resident Host . About the Role The Front Desk / Resident Host serves as the first point of contact for residents and guests, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere. This role combines reception, administrative support, and community engagement, helping create an environment that reflects IRH's mission of hospitality, safety, and inclusion. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and adaptable, with the ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival. Direct visitors to the appropriate person or office. Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls in a professional manner. Keep the reception area tidy, stocked, and presentable (e.g., pens, forms, brochures). Provide accurate information to residents and guests in person, over the phone, and via email. Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries. Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access (e.g., monitoring logbook, issuing visitor badges). Keep updated records and organized files. Support community activities and resident engagement initiatives. Take on other duties as assigned by the Residence Director Perform light housekeeping duties at the front desk and lobby area to maintain a clean, welcoming environment e.g., wiping counters, organizing brochures, tidying common areas, replenishing supplies International Residence Hall (IRH) is seeking a seasonal Front Desk / Resident Host to be the first point of contact for residents and guests, creating a welcoming and professional environment. Key responsibilities include greeting guests, managing calls and inquiries, maintaining the reception area, providing information, handling mail, ensuring security, and supporting community activities. The role also involves light housekeeping to maintain a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, adaptable, and capable of handling emergencies efficiently.
