PT Porter / Concierge for High Rise Condominium Washington Park Tower Condo Association Seattle, WA Job Details Part-time From $23 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Incident response Attention to detail Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, versatile, and service-oriented Part-Time Porter / Light Maintenance & Overnight Concierge to support the daily and overnight operations of a high-rise condominium. This combined role (32 hours weekly) carries dual responsibilities: maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and basic functionality of all common areas during porter shifts, and serving as the primary point of resident contact and building security during the overnight Saturday Concierge shift. The ideal candidate brings professionalism and a resident-first attitude to every interaction, takes pride in their environment, and can remain calm and alert during overnight hours. Responsibilities Porter / Light Maintenance Duties Clean and maintain all common areas including the lobby, hallways, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, amenity spaces, and building exterior entry points.
Perform routine housekeeping:
sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash and recycling removal per building standards and local waste ordinance requirements. Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and batteries, minor touch-up painting, and basic fixture adjustments. Conduct regular walkthroughs to monitor building cleanliness, safety, and maintenance issues; report all concerns to management promptly. Use, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals per Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements and applicable WISHA regulations. Adhere to all building safety procedures and Washington Industrial Safety and Health Act (WISHA) standards. Concierge Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, guests, and visitors during overnight hours with a professional, welcoming demeanor. Greet all individuals entering the building, verify identity, and manage access per building security protocols. Respond to resident inquiries and concerns in a timely, courteous manner; escalate issues to on-call management as appropriate. Receive and securely log packages, deliveries, and guest items per building policy. Maintain confidentiality of all resident information in accordance with applicable privacy standards. Monitor all building entry and exit points, surveillance systems (CCTV), and intercom throughout the overnight shift. Conduct or coordinate periodic building walkthroughs to ensure safety, security, and cleanliness of common areas. Respond appropriately to security incidents, disturbances, or emergencies; contact emergency services (911) as warranted and notify management per established protocol. Serve as the building's emergency point of contact during overnight hours, following established emergency action plans. Qualifications Experience in a luxury residential high-rise or hotel environment strongly preferred. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and follow established procedures with minimal supervision. Demonstrated ability to remain calm, alert, and professional during overnight hours and under pressure. Basic familiarity with cleaning chemicals, SDS protocols, and safe handling of maintenance equipment. Basic proficiency with building management systems, surveillance software, or intercom/access control systems preferred. Reliable, punctual, and highly detail-oriented. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (federal I-9 requirement). Physical Requirements This position requires sustained physical activity across both roles. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; occasionally push/pull wheeled equipment (carts, trash bins, luggage). Ability to sit at a desk and remain alert during extended overnight hours. Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and basic maintenance tools. Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to monitor surveillance systems and respond to building intercoms.
