LINE COOK / PREP COOK POSITION
Mangiare Italian Restaurant and The Galley Restaurant are hiring an experienced cook to join our kitchen team in Sitka for the 2026 season.
Position:
Line Cook / Prep Cook Minimum 2 years kitchen experience preferred
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant standards Assist with prep work, sauces, vegetables, proteins, and daily specials Maintain a clean and organized workstation Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Support the kitchen team during busy service hours Help with kitchen closing and product labeling for next-day use Work closely with chefs and kitchen management to maintain consistency and quality
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years experience in a restaurant kitchen Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to multitask and stay organized during service Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Experience with Italian cuisine or seafood is a plus
