Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality specifications Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish presentation and ingredient selection Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning of ingredients Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by efficiently managing meal preparation tasks Follow all food safety protocols, including proper knife skills and hygiene practices Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of orders and exceptional food service Requirements Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food handling procedures Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with a focus on quality and efficiency Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper kitchen hygiene practices Skilled in knife handling, meal preparation, and food industry best practices Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Experience with catering or serving is advantageous but not mandatory Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role
