Line Cook/Prep Cook

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled, daytime Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of food safety practices. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with our menu standards while ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen environment. The Line Cook/Prep Cook will work closely with the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced setting. Duties Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Execute menu items according to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas. Adhere to food safety regulations and sanitation standards at all times. Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Support catering events as needed, ensuring all dishes are prepared to specifications. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, and fryers. Skills Proficient knife skills for efficient food preparation. Experience in a restaurant or fine dining environment is preferred. Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen. Familiarity with menu planning and catering operations is a plus. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to quality food preparation.
