The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen by assisting with meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for cooking. This position is essential in maintaining the efficiency of our food service operations, contributing to a high-quality dining experience for our guests. Duties Prepare and chop vegetables, meats, and other ingredients as required for menu items. Assist in the assembly of dishes and ensure that all meals are prepared according to recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation during service hours. Participate in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food as needed. Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and storing food items properly. Experience Previous experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques is essential. Knowledge of dietary department standards and meal preparation processes is a plus. Experience in catering or large-scale meal preparation is advantageous but not required. A passion for the food industry and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field are highly valued.
