Line Cook Job Summary Grove Station is looking for a hardworking, dedicated individualwho can conduct all tasks that support our culinary direction. As a Line Cook, you are the engine of our kitchen. You are responsible for executing menu items with consistency, speed, and precision. This role requires a passion for food quality, a disciplined approach to cleanliness, and the ability to thrive under the pressure of a busy service. What You'll Do:
Station Management:
Set up and break down your assigned station according to daily prep lists and par levels.
Execution:
Prepare and cook menu items to exact specifications, ensuring consistent plating, portioning, and temperature.
Timing:
Coordinate with the Expo and fellow cooks to ensure all items for a table are completed simultaneously.
Food Safety:
Maintain a pristine workspace, adhering to all health department regulations, including proper labeling, dating, and temperature logging (FIFO).
Inventory Control:
Minimize waste through proper portioning and reporting any ingredient shortages or equipment issues to the Chef.
Skills We Require:
Technical Proficiency:
Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long shifts, work in high-heat environments, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Speed & Accuracy:
The ability to multitask and manage multiple tickets at once without sacrificing quality.
Communication:
Clear, professional verbal communication with the Back of House (BOH) and Front of House (FOH) teams. 0
Experience:
