Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic food truck team as a Cashier/Cook, where your energy and culinary skills will create a vibrant and memorable dining experience for our customers. This role combines fast-paced food preparation with friendly customer service, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. You'll be at the heart of our mobile culinary operation, managing transactions, preparing delicious food, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and process payments efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Prepare and assemble menu items swiftly while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities. Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end. Maintain cleanliness of the food truck, including food prep areas, serving stations, and dining spaces by bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces regularly. Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations to guarantee safe and high-quality meals. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and communicating supply needs promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in food preparation or working in a quick service or fast food restaurant is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle transactions accurately and professionally. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while managing multiple tasks like cashiering, cooking, and cleaning. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding, and order calculations. Experience in kitchen operations or retail environments such as grocery stores or cafes is a plus.
