In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen, preparing high-quality dishes with precision and care. Your energy and culinary skills will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. We value teamwork, attention to detail, and a love for food preparation that elevates every plate served. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and components of dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques. Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of menu items with precision and speed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including knives, utensils, and cooking equipment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and uphold the restaurant's high standards of service. Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; a strong interest in culinary arts is essential. Demonstrated experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting. Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety protocols is highly desirable. Skilled in knife handling, food presentation, and maintaining cleanliness in a busy kitchen environment. Fine dining experience or experience working in upscale restaurants is a plus. Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including food service, catering, and serving practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
