Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Cook and bring your passion for food to life! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality meals that delight our guests and meet our rigorous standards for food safety and presentation. Whether working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, catering setting, or healthcare facility's dietary department, your culinary expertise will ensure every dish is crafted with care and precision. This position offers an engaging opportunity to showcase your cooking skills while contributing to a positive dining experience for all. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes, standards, and dietary guidelines Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and quality Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen Support meal preparation for different service settings, including fine dining or catering events Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, ovens, stoves, and food prep tools Maintain organized workstations to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service and uphold high standards of food presentation Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related role within the food industry or restaurant environment Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling techniques Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Experience with menu planning, catering, or dietary department operations is highly desirable Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Prior dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus but not required This role is ideal for passionate cooks eager to develop their culinary skills further while making a meaningful impact through quality food service. Pay:
$14.00 - $25.00 per hour
