Morning and Weekend Position Location:
South Gilbert- restaurant and food truck
Job Overview:
We are looking for experienced Line Cooks to join our team. This position includes prepping and cooking for a small, local cafe whose specialty is breakfast burritos. Our kitchen staff rotates and supports all stations and receives cash tips at the end of the day. The owners expect high growth and don't miss an opportunity to promote from within. Our staff determines our success and benefits from 90-day/annual performance reviews, sales-based bonuses, and a supportive work environment.General Responsibilities:
- Cook menu items (mainly breakfast burritos and sandwiches) to specifications.
- Engages in daily food preparation following given recipes.
- Supports the efforts of the kitchen in managing health and safety code standards.
- Maintains the overall cleanliness of kitchen and workstation(s).
- Participates in kitchen opening and closing activities when needed.
- Supports the cleaning of dishware and weekly deep cleaning of the kitchen.
- Effectively communicate with team members.
- Supports in monitoring food inventory and food prep management.
- Works at keeping kitchen wastage to a minimum.
- Completes tasks in a timely manner.
- Product consistency and quality assurance.
Job Requirements:
- 18+ ,Valid Drivers License
- Good communication skills/ punctual
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of basic kitchen duties.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift.
- 1-2 years of previous line cook experience
- MUST be Available to work
- Mornings & Weekends
- Some shifts might be on our Food Truck!
- Food Handler's Card Servsafe is a plus!
