Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our standards of excellence and food safety regulations. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage and handling practices. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service during peak hours. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives, ovens, grills, and other culinary tools. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as necessary. Participate in catering events as needed, preparing meals for large groups while maintaining quality standards. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential. Culinary training or certification is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is highly valued. Experience with meal preparation for catering events is advantageous. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques are desired. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food presentation.
