Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and dietary guidelines. Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients while maintaining food safety protocols. Support meal assembly and plating to ensure visually appealing presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including proper food handling and storage practices. Collaborate with team members during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders. Follow all health and safety regulations to uphold a safe working environment for everyone. Participate in menu planning discussions and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements. Skills Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environments is preferred but not mandatory. Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and servers.
