Job Summary:

The Cook is responsible for preparing and assisting in serving high-quality meals in accordance with established menus and recipes. This position ensures proper food preparation, presentation, and portion control while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. The Cook will uphold all food safety and sanitation standards, monitor and record temperature controls, and follow proper food storage and rotation procedures. Additionally, this role assists with kitchen clean-up and completes tasks as assigned on the cleaning schedule. As a Cook in Skilled Nursing Facility, your work will go beyond the kitchen—you'll be helping residents feel at home through the meals you create. Job Duties Prepare and assist in serving meals in accordance with the menu and recipes. Provide proper food transportation, garnish, plate-up and portion control. Ensure that residents and guests receive high quality food in a timely manner. Assist with kitchen clean-up as needed. Perform tasks as assigned on cleaning schedule. Maintain and record proper temperature controls, food storage and food rotation. Update documentation of temperature and equipment logs Demonstrate proper knife safety. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Strong communication and listening skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced kitchen environment Ability to work individually and as a team. Ability to work on your feet and lift routine kitchen/food boxes, tools, and equipment. Healthcare experience. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Pay:

$17.50-$19.50 per hour based on years of experience. This is a part-time, non-exempt FLSA status position.

Shifts Available:
