Job Description

626 Hospitality Group is seeking a part-time prep cook, handling the preparation of our house-made Soft Serve at our Arcadia location. Hours are Monday and Friday from 9AM
  • 1PM, with the opportunity for additional shifts at our production kitchen in Artesia, California.
Our prep cook is responsible for the production and organization of our kitchen. We make our soft serve from scratch using real dairy and real fruit, without any shortcuts. Every flavor is developed in-house, and we take great care in executing efficient and effective prep processes. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the production of soft serve, rotation and usage of the inventory, and the professional knowledge of ingredients and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
  • Arrive on time for the scheduled shift and wear clean and appropriate work attire.
  • Prepare and organize mise en place in support of daily production needs.
  • Thorough knowledge of the menu descriptions and ingredients of our menu.
  • Execute complex recipes to completion in a detail-oriented and timely manner.
  • Work efficiently, multitask, and have impeccable attention to detail.
  • Support inventory organization, labeling, and storage of items.
  • Properly care for equipment, tools, and shared workspaces.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment throughout the shift in accordance with Health Department and restaurant standards.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all kitchen, dish, and garbage areas.
  • Control costs by taking accurate inventories, limiting waste, and logging any discard.
