As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that dishes are prepared to perfection while adhering to health and safety standards. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas. Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to maintain food safety. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and cooking appliances. Support catering events as needed, preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining environment is preferred. Knowledge of food handling procedures and dietary aide practices is essential. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to help others in the kitchen as needed.
