QUALIFICATIONS
18+ years of age Minimum one year of BOH work experience in one or all: prep, line, lead, expo, grill, fry Possess a valid food handler's certification US citizen with valid driver's license or social security card.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare cooking ingredients by washing, chopping and portioning certain dishes pertaining to specific food stations. Monitor the kitchen window and expediting station by organizing the flow of tickets. Communicate with lead line cook about organization and execution of incoming tickets and food items. Prepare a variety of different meals for customers based on our menu choices: https://www.storytavernburbank.com/food with ability to use electric fryers, induction burners, electric ovens, etc Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with established standards. Proper food handling, including sanitation of all surfaces and cooking and serving utensils. Maintain sanitary conditions for kitchen and dining areas. Communicate with FOH when full ticket orders have been fulfilled
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to accept direction and adhere to policies and procedures Must possess basic communication skills Must possess organizational and multi-tasking skills Must have knowledge of applicable national, state and local health and food preparation standards and regulations and be able to maintain the facility in compliance with regulations Must have ability to operate electric fryers, induction burners, convection ovens Must possess proper knife handling and proper cutting skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must possess physical condition adequate for performance of the work. Able to stand on feet for sustained period of time (6-8 hours)
