ON-CALL EVENT LINE COOK
$30 PER HOUR Looking for a flexible side hustle that pays $30 per hour ? The Folktale Group is looking for an On-Call Event Line Cook to support our weddings, winery events, and private celebrations. Join a talented culinary team and help create exceptional dining experiences at some of the Monterey Peninsula's most beautiful events. This is a fantastic opportunity for cooks who enjoy variety, flexibility, and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Requirements:
Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes and chef specifications Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards during service Work efficiently during high-volume event service Assist with event setup, service, and breakdown Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation What We're Looking For Reliable and dependable team players Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment Weekend and evening availability is required Previous line cook, prep cook, banquet cook, or restaurant kitchen experience preferred Ability to take direction and work as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for up to 8+ hours Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling Lift up to 25 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally
