Vegan By El Zamorano in Costa Mesa, CA is looking for a cook/line cook to join our team! We are Orange County's first and only vegan taqueria. Our ideal candidate is attentive, outgoing, engaged, and someone who provides outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning Assist with cooking items needed for daily service Set up and stock the line for opening Follow recipes and prep lists accurately Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, line, and storage Properly label, date, and store food items Follow food safety and sanitation standards Assist with dishwashing or cleaning tasks as needed Maintain a clean and tidy work area Being a team player! Qualifications Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong time management and attention to detail Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain) Wage Hourly wage is inclusive of tips
