Job Description

Salt & Lime Modern Taqueria is looking to add an energetic and organized Part-Time Line Cook to the team! We are a chef driven fast casual concept within a contemporary and inviting Tulum atmosphere. We focus on high quality ingredients, delicious beverages, and the creation of amazing guest experiences. We look forward to working with you!
Job Description:
This position within our concepts focuses on teamwork and communication coupled with experience and training leading to the success of our restaurants. Organization and timeliness within each line station ensures that the guest receives the correct ordered items in a timely manner. Adhering to the standardized recipes set forth by the Chef will ensure that the restaurant is set with a strong foundation for service and day to day operations. Below you will find a list of Line Cook responsibilities: Assess the quality and quantity of prepared recipes and ingredients List recipes that will need to be prepared for the day (with Chef approval) Complete the recipes lined out for the day Properly handle proteins and vegetables to prevent cross contamination Properly cook recipes to standardized recipe specifications Properly cool and handle recipes per safety standards Properly label recipes and ingredients within the line station Manage the labeling of the Walk-in fridge per the line station Butcher meats that are classified by Chef Monger fish that are classified by Chef Communicate with Chef when products and ingredients fall below the set pars Pull thaw items per the line station, when needed Clean and sanitize the line station throughout the shift Properly set up the line station with sanitizer for service Execute orders placed throughout the service in a timely manner Ensure the line station floor is clean and clear of debris throughout the shift Assist the dishwashers when time permits
Requirements:
The listed items below are essential for the success within the position: Must be at least 18 years of age Minimum 1 year experience as a line cook, prep cook, or higher position Culinary training, Highschool diploma, GED preferred Must have a current California Food Handlers card or similar certification. Have knowledge of restaurants skills including equipment Willingness to support the team and restaurant for success Ability to lift or move 50 pounds, frequently Ability to kneel, bend, and stoop, frequently
