The ideal candidate will bring culinary expertise, attention to detail, and a dedication to delivering exceptional food experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on authentic Japanese dishes, including ramen and sushi preparation. The position requires a strong foundation in food safety, kitchen operations, and creative menu execution to ensure high-quality service for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of Japanese dishes, including ramen and sushi, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards Ensure all food handling and preparation comply with food safety regulations and sanitation standards Assist in menu planning and development to introduce innovative dishes while maintaining authenticity Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, and other culinary tools Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours Monitor ingredient quality and freshness, notifying management of inventory needs or issues Uphold high standards of food presentation and customer satisfaction Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within the food industry or restaurant environment Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques specific to Japanese cuisine such as sushi rolling and ramen assembly Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling procedures Nigiri & Temaki is a must for sushi line cooks Knowing how to break down fish is a plus Experience with menu planning, catering, or fine dining is highly desirable Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team Previous restaurant experience with a focus on Japanese or Asian cuisine is preferred Familiarity with food service operations, kitchen equipment, and sanitation standards This position offers an engaging opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about Japanese cuisine to showcase their skills while contributing to an exceptional dining experience.
