Jul 22, 2026 Be an early applicant Required Years of Experience 3 years Job Details Blackhawk Country Club is seeking an experienced line cook to help prepare food using recipes and menu items created by the Head Chef. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of kitchen and restaurant experience, with a strong emphasis on culinary expertise and kitchen operations. Experience with pizza oven operations is a plus. The Cook will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, cooking menu items to perfection, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations Preparing food including cleaning, cutting the ingredients, and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks Plating foods based on senior chef's guidance Working with the expo and servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and are on time Washing and cleaning the kitchen, cooking utensils, and storing the equipment at the end of shifts Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulation Assist in food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and standards. Operate kitchen equipment with precision and safety, including grills, fryers, ovens, and pizza ovens. Ensure all food products are cooked and presented to high-quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment, workstations, and storage areas. Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to prevent foodborne illnesses. Monitor inventory levels and assist in inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies. Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) 3-4 years of kitchen and restaurant experience. Proven culinary skills and ability to execute menu items with precision and consistency. Experience operating kitchen equipment and appliances. Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Pizza oven experience is a plus.
