Duties Lead and coordinate dietary department activities, including meal preparation, food service, and catering operations Develop and implement diverse menus that meet nutritional guidelines while appealing to varied tastes Supervise food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations Train and mentor dietary aides and kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, knife skills, and food safety protocols Oversee food industry best practices in cooking, plating, and presentation to deliver fine dining quality meals Manage inventory levels for ingredients and supplies, ensuring efficient stock control for meal prep and catering events Maintain meticulous records of food safety inspections, meal documentation, and departmental reports Requirements Proven experience in dietary departments or related food service environments with a focus on meal preparation and menu planning Strong background in culinary arts with excellent knife skills and cooking techniques suitable for fine dining settings Prior experience as a dietary aide or in restaurant settings demonstrating food handling expertise Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and regulatory compliance within the food industry Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and service excellence Familiarity with catering operations and serving procedures in diverse dining environments Excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff, vendors, and clients effectively Join us as a Lead cook where your culinary expertise will elevate our dining experience!
