Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with menu planning by suggesting new dishes and improvements based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredients. Handle food safely by following proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times. Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and plating to streamline kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas to uphold health regulations and safety standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours and assist in catering or special event setups when needed. Demonstrate excellent knife skills and culinary techniques to enhance dish presentation and flavor profiles. Qualifications Prior experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable, showcasing familiarity with food service standards. Proven restaurant or kitchen experience demonstrating proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and food handling. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen environment. Strong skills in meal preparation, menu planning, and culinary techniques including knife skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting. Excellent teamwork, communication, and serving skills to ensure a positive dining experience for guests. Experience with catering or large-scale food service operations is a plus.
