Working with other team members, you will ensure that cakes of the highest quality are consistently created for our guests and ensuring production levels meet bakery demand. Following strict proprietary recipes, NbC production methods and food safety standards, the Baking team performs the repeated baking process for cakes offered in a variety of flavors and sizes. Job Duties and Responsibilities Follows NbC proprietary recipes for cake and frosting production with precision and achieves productivity goals. Accurately prepare raw ingredients for baking, places cake pans into hot oven and monitors the baking process. Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes. Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling and storage of baked cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains baking logs. Assists Bakery Manager in the development of cake production plan, ensures adequate inventory of baking supplies are ordered to support product demand. Evaluates raw ingredients and baked cakes to ensure NbC standards are met. Inform management of any quality control issues. Cleans and sanitizes work area and ensures all baking supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift. Gathers and removes garbage, sweeps and mops floors, and cleans floor drains. Manually wash, rinse and sanitize baking pans, dishes, utensils and other tools in a thorough and timely manner and adheres to food handling standards. Assist in receiving and storing weekly deliveries from suppliers. Willing and able to shift job duties and responsibilities. Performance Expectations and Benchmark Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record. Meet position time standards for baking cakes and making frosting. Meet frosting standards and ensure frosting consistency is uniform. Attaining a high level of product quality satisfaction, measured through surveys, reviews, or repeat business. Contributing positively to team dynamics, communication, and cooperation among the entire bakery team. Conduct oneself with professionalism and integrity, representing the bakery positively in interactions with customers, colleagues, and management. Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
Qualifications and Skills Age:
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Education:

Physical Requirements & Work Environment Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. The role involves prolonged periods of standing, lifting heavy of boxes, bags and ingredients, bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive motions.
Temperature Variations:
The role involves exposure to cold temperatures due to refrigeration units.
Handling Equipment:
Employees may need to operate bakery equipment such as mixer, commercial oven, dollies and step ladders.
Fast-Paced Environment:
The ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask will be required.
Cleanliness and Sanitation:
Employees will be expected to clean work areas, equipment, and utensils daily.

Work Availability:
Employee must demonstrate the ability to consistently be available for the baking shift, which is typically Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 3:00pm. The bakery industry often experiences fluctuating levels of activity, with peak periods during weekends, holidays, and special occasions. Therefore, availability during these times is essential to ensure adequate coverage and meet customer needs. Baking days will be adjusted based on demand. Employees should be willing to adjust their schedules as needed to accommodate the bakery's operational requirements and provide reliable support to the team.
