WORKING HOURS
: This is an hourly position. The incumbent is expected to work the necessary hours to meet the needs of a 24 hour establishment.
SUMMARY :
To assist in the daily production and/or cooking of all foods relating to the respective kitchen outlet.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: 1. Follows safe food handling procedures at all times. 2. Ensures that all food served is prepared and meets set quality standards. 3. Prepares and cooks foods for respective kitchen outlets including TDR according to proper procedures. 4. Assists in completing hot and cold line functions as necessary. 5. Ensures that all kitchen preparation is completed on a timely basis and follows established recipes. 6. Works at a safe and efficient rate of speed in a fast-paced environment. 7. Stores, labels, dates and rotates all foods (FIFO). 8. Cleans and organizes workstation or stations and surrounding areas as necessary. 9. Uses kitchen equipment as instructed to ensure safety and proper care of equipment. 10. Commits to the Team R.O.C.K. Philosophy. 11. Acts as a role model and always present oneself as a credit to River Rock Casino and encourages others to do the same. 12. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures. 13. Attends all required meetings and training. 14. Maintains confidentiality at all times. 15. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required. 1. Previous kitchen experience is required. 2. Minimum two (2) years cooking on a line for a medium to high volume restaurant. 3. Possesses basic knife skills and be able to operate basic kitchen equipment. 4. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. 5. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. 6. Commits to the Team R.O.C.K. Philosophy 7. Must present a professional appearance and in uniform at all times. 8. Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to all matters pertaining to the gaming enterprise business. 9. Must be able to work competently in more than one station in at least one outlet..
EDUCATION
: Bilingual skills preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
: 1. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Bilingual skills preferred. 2. Excellent oral and written communication skills are important to the successful conduct of this position. 3. Must be able to speak with the public in a professional manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
: 1. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

: 1. Ability to proactively streamline processes for company's return on investment. 2. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 3. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
: 1. Must be able to be on feet for prolonged periods of time and work efficiently in an environment with extreme temperatures (hot/cold); 2. Must possess coordination and dexterity to use kitchen utensils such as knives, spatulas, food tongs, etc. 3. Must be able to operate the following kitchen equipment: stoves, grills, fryers, and other utensils when preparing food orders. 4. Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds. 5. Must be able to carry, pull and push the weight needed to perform the duties of the job. 6. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. 7. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

This is a fast paced, highly diverse work environment, and the position requires the ability to remain flexible and get along with all personality types. 2. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
