Part-Time / On-Call Join Our Team! Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking a dependable and dedicated Dietary Cook to join our dietary services team. This position plays an important role in providing nutritious, high-quality meals to our residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and dietary requirements. Ensure food is prepared, portioned, and served in accordance with facility standards. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas. Assist with food preparation, stocking, and inventory as needed. Work collaboratively with dietary staff to ensure timely meal service. Accommodate special diets and modified textures as directed by dietary management. Adhere to all state, federal, and facility regulations. Qualifications Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, long-term care, rehabilitation, or food service setting preferred. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling. Food Handler Card preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.
