Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a cook, where your passion for food and dedication to exceptional service will shine! In this vital role, you will support the dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, food handling, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety. Your culinary skills and enthusiasm will contribute to creating nourishing, delicious meals that delight our residents or guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise while making a positive impact in a vibrant, team-oriented environment. Duties Assist with menu planning to ensure balanced and appealing meal options for residents or customers Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to established recipes and dietary guidelines Handle food safely by following proper storage, sanitation, and hygiene procedures Support food service operations by plating meals, serving guests, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area Contribute to food industry best practices through effective food handling and knife skills during meal prep Participate in catering events or special meal occasions as needed Maintain accurate records of food inventory, storage conditions, and safety compliance Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong culinary skills with experience in menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Experience in restaurant or kitchen environments within the food industry is preferred Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Join us to bring your culinary talents to life while supporting the well-being of those we serve!
