6 AM to 3 PM Professional experience cooking Indian cuisine is required for this role. About Healthy Tiffin Healthy Tiffin is a fast-growing Bay Area meal prep company focused on fresh, wholesome Indian home-style cooking. We produce large volumes of meals daily using high-quality ingredients, minimal oil, and disciplined kitchen systems. Our kitchen operates like a professional production kitchen, emphasizing speed, consistency, cleanliness, and precise recipes. We are hiring an experienced Indian Line Cook who can cook authentic Indian dishes in a fast-paced kitchen. Professional experience cooking Indian cuisine is required for this role. Position Overview The Line Cook will operate cooking stations responsible for preparing curries, lentils, vegetables, rice dishes, and protein dishes using standardized recipes. This role requires strong understanding of Indian spices, tempering (tadka), and traditional cooking techniques. Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-volume kitchen environment where consistency and speed are essential. Key Responsibilities Cook Indian dishes following standardized recipes and production schedules Prepare curries, lentils (dal), vegetable dishes, grains, and protein dishes Maintain consistent taste, texture, and presentation Execute large batch cooking with precision and efficiency Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards Keep cooking stations clean, organized, and efficient Work closely with the kitchen leadership team to meet daily production targets Monitor seasoning and adjust dishes when necessary Required Qualifications ✔ Minimum 4 years experience cooking Indian cuisine prefrably in a commercial kitchen ✔ Strong knowledge of Indian spices, tempering, and curry preparation ✔ Experience cooking large batches in a professional kitchen ✔ Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality ✔ Strong discipline with cleanliness and food safety ✔ Reliable, punctual, and team oriented ✔ Ability to stand long hours and lift up to 40 lbs Compensation $27- $30 per hour depending on experience Monday
- Friday schedule Typical hours: 6:00 AM
