This role is responsible for preparing ingredients, executing menu items consistently, supporting morning prep and production, and ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. This is a key position that sets the tone for the entire day. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Cooking Execute all menu items according to recipes and specifications Safely operate all kitchen equipment (grill, flat top, fryers, ovens, slicers, etc.) Cook proteins, sides, sauces, and scratch-made items with consistent quality Assist with morning prep: chopping, portioning, marinating, batch cooking, etc. Follow all food safety, proper cooling, and labeling standards Kitchen Organization Set up the line for service efficiently and accurately Keep prep areas and stations fully stocked throughout the shift Maintain a clean, sanitized work environment at all times Rotate stock (FIFO) and properly store all ingredients Communicate low-stock or product needs to kitchen manager or chef Teamwork & Service Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service Communicate clearly with expo, dish, and other cooks Support the morning team with prep tasks as needed Uphold Redwood Grill service standards and kitchen culture Qualifications Previous line cook experience preferred (bar & grill or high-volume a plus) Strong knife skills and understanding of cooking techniques Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency ServSafe or equivalent food handler certification Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in the mornings What We Offer Competitive hourly pay & tips Staff meals Growth opportunities within the restaurant Supportive, team-focused environment Stable AM schedule with consistent hours Visit our
