- Prepare ingredients for daily service, including vegetables, meats, fish, sauces, and garnishes.
- Assist chefs with food preparation and cooking tasks.
- Follow recipes and preparation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations.
- Properly store food and rotate inventory (FIFO).
- Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Help with banquet, catering, and special event preparation as needed.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods. Requirements
- Previous experience as a Prep Cook, Line Cook, or Kitchen Assistant preferred.
- Knowledge of Russian and Ukrainian cuisine is highly preferred.
- Basic knife skills and food preparation techniques.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team oriented attitude and strong work ethic.
- English and/or Russian language skills preferred. Preferred Experience
- Experience preparing soups, dumplings (pelmeni, vareniki), meat dishes, and traditional Eastern European cuisine.
- Restaurant, banquet, or catering experience.
