As a Prep Cook, you will play an essential role in ensuring that all ingredients are prepared with precision, safety, and care to support our kitchen operations. Duties Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring to ensure timely meal assembly Assist in food preparation tasks such as portioning, mixing, and assembling dishes according to established recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station, including proper food handling and storage practices in compliance with food safety regulations Support cooking staff by providing prepped ingredients for cooking and plating processes Follow menu planning guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of meals served Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, and other culinary tools Assist with catering setups and special event preparations as needed Experience Previous experience working in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety standards Experience in restaurant or food service environments demonstrating strong knife skills and meal preparation abilities Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices within the food industry Background in culinary arts or related training is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills with experience supporting kitchen staff during busy service times Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a real difference!
