In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to company recipes, portion specifications, and quality standards in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment. This role is essential in maintaining consistency, food safety, efficiency, and overall meal quality across all production batches. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, able to multitask effectively, and committed to maintaining a clean and professional kitchen environment while working collaboratively with the culinary and production teams. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and production schedules Accurately weigh, portion, and prepare ingredients to ensure consistency and quality control Perform batch cooking while maintaining flavor, texture, presentation, and temperature standards Ensure all meals meet company quality expectations before being sent to plating or packaging Maintain proper food handling, storage, labeling, dating, and rotation procedures (FIFO) Monitor ingredient quality and immediately report shortages, spoilage, or inconsistencies to management Assist with kitchen prep, station setup, breakdown, and cleaning duties Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly, including ovens, stovetops, grills, mixers, slicers, and other commercial kitchen equipment Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation throughout the shift Follow all company food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety procedures Ensure compliance with local health department regulations and internal kitchen standards Work collaboratively with prep, plating, packaging, and management teams to maintain production flow and efficiency Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and reliability in attendance and performance Perform additional kitchen or production duties assigned by management Experience Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, catering kitchen, meal prep facility, food production facility, or restaurant preferred High-volume kitchen or food production experience is strongly preferred Experience with batch cooking and recipe execution preferred Experience working in fast-paced kitchen environments preferred Qualifications ServSafe Certification required or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures Ability to follow recipes, prep sheets, and production schedules accurately Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency and quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential for this role We are looking for team members who are dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and consistency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
