Job Description

Position Summary Moraga Post Acute is seeking a dependable and skilled Dietary Cook to join our team. The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious, appetizing meals in accordance with physician orders, dietary guidelines, and resident preferences. This role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality food service and resident satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary requirements Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines Ensure meals meet special dietary needs (e.g., low sodium, diabetic, texture-modified diets) Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with safety regulations Assist with meal service and tray line as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and cooking areas Collaborate with dietary staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations Assist with inventory, ordering, and stock rotation Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous cooking experience in a healthcare or food service setting required Knowledge of dietary restrictions and food safety regulations Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and time management skills Excellent teamwork and communication abilities Food Handler's Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) Schedule & Benefits Full-time position (schedule may include weekends and holidays) Competitive pay at $19/hour Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive and team-oriented work environment Equal Opportunity Employer Moraga Post Acute is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
