We are a busy small business located in downtown Napa, Ca, and need someone who can assist and help our chef and line cooks with prepping, and occasionally jump on the line to deliver quality dishes! Prep cook will be trained on the breakfast menu and expected to deliver beautiful plates and dishes in a timely fashion. Prep list must be completed at the end of each shift. This includes chopping, cutting, washing, and organizing of foods. This position requires 3-4 days a week, 8 hour shifts during the morning threw afternoon. Prep Cook will be responsible for all prep, any pre-made sandwiches, pizzetas, charcuterie, veggie plates, pasta sides and fruit cups for front of the house. Also cleaning their own station, stocking, FIFO of walk-in items, inventory, and help ordering. MUST be clean and organized! Prep Cook must have food handlers card within 30 days of employment. Restaurant experience is not required as long as you have extensive food knowledge. Such as how to make different sauces, how to prepare different meats. You must be able to differentiate between certain ingredients and know what flavor profiles go well together and which do not. We need someone who knows their way around a kitchen and has a passion for making food look and taste great! This is a perfect place to learn. We will teach you how to make bread such as foccacia and also other tips and tricks we've learned in the 28 years we've been in business. There is lots of room for growth and we are looking for someone that is committed to learning! We love to have fun here at sweetie pies, so coming up with specials is something the kitchen does every weekend.
