Weekly Pay A well-established Mexican restaurant in Norwalk is seeking an experienced Cook to join its kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing authentic Mexican cuisine and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook authentic Mexican dishes including tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, soups, menudo, pozole, salsas, and more. Follow recipes and portion control standards. Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency. Keep kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations. Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management. Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Mexican Cook or Line Cook required. Knowledge of authentic Mexican ingredients and cooking techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
