Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Line Cook or Prep Cook and become a vital part of delivering delicious meals in a fast-paced culinary environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, contribute to meal planning, and ensure food safety standards are met with enthusiasm and precision. Hiring for Prep Cook & Line Cook Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to: Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to restaurant and hotel guests. Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members. Wash, cut and prepare food for serving and/or cooking. Cook food as ordered, working on several different orders simultaneously. Inventory food items and report on supplies to be ordered. Control inventory for loss, waste and spoilage. Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils, keeping kitchen spotless to Company standards and to all health codes. Adhere to food safety requirements. Monitor cleanliness of back loading dock and trash area. Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel. Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management. Deliver DKN's "Home Away From Home" experience
Qualifications Knowledge/Education/Experience :
Minimum one (1) year experience.
Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements :
Ability to communicate in English with guests, management and fellow team members to their understanding. Ability to provide legible written communications. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.
Physical Requirements :
Standing for long periods of time, frequently walking. Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, carrying and twisting. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting unassisted up to 30 lbs. of bulk goods. Exposure to cleaning agents.
