Duties Prepare ingredients and assemble components according to menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality. Cook a variety of dishes with precision, utilizing proper knife skills and cooking techniques to deliver flavorful results. Follow food safety protocols diligently to maintain cleanliness, proper food handling, and sanitation standards. Assist in menu planning by suggesting improvements or new ideas based on ingredient availability and customer preferences. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality and presentation standards. Maintain organized workstations, stock supplies, and ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and functioning properly. Serve dishes promptly and professionally, assisting with food service as needed to enhance guest satisfaction. Experience Previous experience in a food industry setting such as restaurants, catering, or culinary environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus. Demonstrated skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly are essential. Strong knowledge of food safety practices, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with menu planning or culinary innovation is advantageous but not required. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques are highly desirable.
