In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation of high-quality dishes that delight our guests. Responsibilities Lead and supervise kitchen staff during meal preparation, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met consistently. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, demonstrating excellent knife skills and food handling techniques. Assist in menu planning, developing innovative recipes that align with our culinary vision while maintaining consistency. Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and proper sanitation practices. Coordinate food service operations, including catering events and special functions, to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement. Monitor inventory levels, assist with food ordering, and manage stock to minimize waste while maintaining freshness. Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or fine dining setting. Strong culinary background with expertise in meal preparation, food handling, and kitchen operations. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising kitchen teams as a lead or senior cook. Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus. Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and serving in high-volume environments. Excellent knife skills and understanding of food safety standards are essential. Prior dietary or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not required; a passion for culinary arts is essential.
