Job Description

West Coast Taco bar is expanding and opening a new ghost kitchen operation in Midtown Sacramento. We are looking for dependable, hardworking line cooks who take pride in serving high quality food in a fast paced environment. Job Summary Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes with precision and ensuring every plate meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, maintaining consistency and quality. Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and safety regulations at all times. Support food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and plating to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and utensils to uphold health standards and ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service during busy hours, ensuring timely delivery of orders. Qualifications Previous experience in a food service environment such as restaurants, catering, or food industry roles is highly desirable. Strong culinary skills including knife proficiency, cooking techniques, and meal preparation expertise. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Prior experience with food industry standards, or kitchen experience will be advantageous. Work with a team that values quality, consistency, and hospitality with opportunity for growth as we expand.
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
