Status:
Hourly, non-exempt, Part Time Position Overview Morton Golf is seeking a Line Cook who will skillfully prepare, cook, and present menu items, enhancing their appeal with appropriate accompaniments and garnishes. The role is pivotal in setting the pace for food orders, with the cook's productivity directly influencing the efficiency of the ticket flow process. The cook's proficiency not only dictates the tempo of service but is also critical to upholding the restaurant's service standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Cook and prepare food items based on customer flow.
  • Process food tickets and maintain quality & health standards for all dishes.
  • Adhere to all sanitation and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction with high-quality, health code-compliant, and timely food presentations.
  • Follow operating procedures to meet Chef's standards.
  • Implement cost-saving measures as directed by the Chef and F&B Managers.
  • Stock and rotate food items according to management instructions.
  • Handle and maintain kitchen equipment, supplies, and tools efficiently.
  • Execute opening and closing kitchen procedures effectively.
  • Assist in training new staff and report any issues with equipment or supplies to F&B Managers.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of cooking experience with a proven track record.
  • Comprehensive understanding of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong work ethic, team player, adaptable, and committed to personal growth.
  • Knowledgeable in federal and state health code and cooking regulations.
A commitment to upholding the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Flexibility to work M -F + weekends. A valid food handler's certificate or the willingness to obtain one upon hire.
