Dietary Cook Salinas Valley Post Acute Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a reliable and motivated Dietary Cook to join our dietary services team. This role is essential in providing nutritious, high-quality meals that support the health and well-being of our residents. Schedule 4 days on / 2 days off AM and PM shifts available Compensation $21.00 per hour Full benefits package available Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines Ensure meals meet residents' dietary needs and physician-ordered restrictions Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times Properly store food and supplies in compliance with health regulations Work collaboratively with dietary aides, supervisors, and nursing staff Assist with special events or modified meal plans as needed Qualifications Prior experience as a cook in a healthcare, long-term care, or institutional setting preferred Knowledge of therapeutic diets and food safety standards Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Food Handler's Certification (or ability to obtain) Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holiday pay 401(k) retirement plan Supportive team environment and opportunities for growth Why Join Salinas Valley Post Acute?
