  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of one year's full-time experience providing non-professional services in a mental health, healthcare, or social service agency is required.
  • One year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or a related medical facility is preferred, as is knowledge and experience preparing therapeutic diets.
  • Must have a valid California Driver's License and a SERV Safe Food Handler Certification.
  • Must be able to physically assist in lifting and carrying food service supplies and equipment without restriction.
How you will make a difference: This position has primary responsibility for coaching clients with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs); preparing meals, and snacks, shopping for food, and other various life skills. Assist with and supervise meal preparation by current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Ensure that all safety regulations are followed and the facilities are maintained safely and cleanly. Assist with client laundry, household cleaning and other tasks as needed. This position performs a variety of tasks to ensure that the facility is in a clean, orderly, sanitary and attractive condition.
Division/Program Overview:
The Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) is a short-term, 24/7 voluntary residential facility designed to help adults ages 18-59 who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis. The goal is to provide a safe space for stabilization and recovery before clients transition back to the community.
Services include:
  • Therapeutic and mental health services
  • Rehabilitation and recovery support, including substance use services
  • Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
  • Medication evaluation and support
  • Daily exercise and health/wellness education
