ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Line Cook at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will prepare and serve high-quality meals for residents and guests in our restaurant-style dining program. Working in a professional commercial kitchen, you'll be responsible for food preparation, cooking, plating, and maintaining the quality and presentation standards that create an exceptional dining experience. We're seeking dependable, team-oriented professionals who take pride in their work and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates demonstrate strong knife skills, experience preparing multiple menu items to recipe standards, an understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, and the ability to manage multiple priorities during meal service while delivering exceptional hospitality.

YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare meals from scratch according to assigned recipe specifications and quality standards Follow recipes, manage portion control and ensure attractive plate presentation Properly manage cook times while preparing and efficiently managing several orders simultaneously Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures Follow checklists and company procedures to ensure kitchen is stocked and well maintained at all times Make hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction your top priorities in every interaction
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalent Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English Minimum of 6 months Line Cook experience in a high volume restaurant setting Proven success with basic Culinary skills such as knife handling, accurate measurements and cooking methods Ability to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of applicable post-offer pre-employment screenings, which may include a job-related background check, drug screening, physical examination, and TB testing, consistent with applicable laws.
