WHAT DOES A DAY AS OUR BANQUET LINE COOK LOOK LIKE?
Get ready for a part-time role where menus, timelines, and daily processes are regularly changing and where you'll play a crucial part in memorable events, conferences, and celebrations! You'll work alongside your culinary team and follow directions from the head chef to properly prepare, cook, and plate dishes for unique events. You'll need to be able to work quickly to meet tight timelines while still upholding food safety and sanitation standards. We cater on- and off-site events, and you'll help your team properly set up and tear down all kitchen equipment. Your hard work will help ensure guests have an incredible time and that they won't go home hungry!
WHEN WILL YOU WORK?
Our Banquet Line Cook works a varied part-time schedule based on upcoming events and celebrations. You'll need the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
2+ years of professional culinary experience, preferably in a catering, banquet, or high-volume environment Excellent knife skills and solid knowledge of various cooking techniques Exceptional food safety and sanitation knowledge Ability to learn new menus and adapt to event requirements Ability to stand for extended periods, lift 50 lbs., work indoor and outdoor events, and regularly carry/handle kitchen equipment Strong work ethic, a team spirit, and a commitment to showing up on time every day Reliable transportation to and from events High school degree or equivalent Our ideal Banquet Line Cook is also ServSafe-certified and has a valid food handler card.
