There will be room for growth for the right person. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of meal preparation and food safety practices. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality sandwiches while maintaining the standards of our kitchen. This position requires a commitment to excellence in food handling and preparation within a fast-paced environment. No Late nights! We are open 11am-4pm Tuesday-Sunday., closed Mondays. Hourly pay +tips. Tips added daily will generally move pay range between 25-30+ $ per hour. You MUST be able to work weekends, NO EXCEPTIONS, Saturday and Sunday . Free sandwich every shift. Must be reliable, punctual, have a peaceful positive attitude, able to handle stress & constructive criticism. Also MUST be able to work with a sense of urgency. Responsibilities Prep and build sandwiches according to established recipes. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols. Cleaning and organizing the kitchen at the end of the day Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred. Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices is essential. Familiarity with dietary department operations is a plus. Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
